Wi-fi:The Concert Hall can be enabled for Wi-Fi, at extra cost, Fairfield has the proven capacity to host 2000 concurrent portable devices. Fairfield is in a mobile phone network high strength signal area
Lighting:Lighting consists of a Strand 530l and 520i controlling 156 dimmers, eight of which are 5Kw circuits and the rest 2.5Kw. The system is soft patchable and partly hard patchable and is ethernetted, with nodes enabling control to external DMX control protocol devices.
For orchestral, choral concerts or recitals we have 40 750w source four Panels using 20 of the above channels in the canopy to produce a diffused white wash.
There are 2 x super trouper follow spots. Additional lighting can be made available at extra cost.
Sound:The Main PA is a flown stereo line array system comprising ten d&b Q1 speakers and four d&b 27A subs hung either side of the platform, two D&B E8 side fills with under and over-balcony delays consisting of d&b E6 speakers. The eight private boxes each have their own d&b 5S Speaker. When the choir stalls are in use five d&b E6 speakers cover this area. Six d&b E6 speakers are available for front fill and two B2s can be added in the auditorium to supplement the eight flown subs.
Monitoring consists of four Logic LM15 and four Martin Audio LE4000 monitor wedges powered by four Crown XT4000 two channel amps and is controlled from front of house.
The main system utilises d&b D12 and D6 amplifiers controlled via a rack mounted PC running d&b R1 software with a Yamaha M7CL 48 channel mixing console Front of House. The console is patched via Ethersound to three Yamaha SB168 digital stage boxes with flexible analogue patching via a number of XLR patch bays. Touring consoles can be patched in via a Yamaha DME64N and two AD8HR units. Various configurations are available from a single mono input to a full eight way matrix and eight monitor mixes.
One of the finest venues in the country, renowned for its outstanding acoustic, Fairfield’s 1801-seat Concert Hall plays host to many events every year.
The Concert Hall accommodates very large conferences and meetings, as well as playing host to commercial entertainment events, dance festivals, televised sports, awards/graduation ceremonies and very large wedding ceremonies (Fairfield has a civil licence, click here for wedding details)
It is also one of the few venues in the UK that can be enabled for simultaneous wifi use of up to 2000 portable devices. With its close connections to Gatwick and central London this makes it ideal venue for IT/Web and e-media industry meetings and conferences.
The Concert Hall is comprised of a raked auditorium with fixed seating and a stage in 15 sections on lifts, which can be easily adjusted to accommodate events such as entertainment, conferences, ceremonies, sporting activities and presentations. Stage sections can be raised or lowered from floor level to three feet above floor level.
The Concert Hall also boasts a large cinema screen (35 feet) to view films with Dolby and Surround Sound.
Behind the stage are the choir stalls with 250 seats for audience or performers. These can be hidden by hanging a black tab from the truss mother grid.
